Which of these groups do you identify with?
For passionate sportsmen
If sport is your great passion and you don’t want to give it up even on holiday, Bormio is your little corner of paradise. An infinite number of outdoor proposals are within your reach in few kilometers: biking, skiing, trekking, mountaineering or climbing. In short, whatever sport you want to practice, here, you will find something that will fully satisfy you.
If you come to visit us in the summer, however, you cannot fail to discover our territory on your bike.
Tourists from all over the world come here every year to climb the most famous climbs of the “Giro d’Italia”: Stelvio Pass, Gavia and Mortirolo are a dream for many. Alongside these famous passes, which have marked the history of world cycling, there are also many other climbs on secondary roads, which are simply fascinating and evocative.
If the road bike is your great passion, you cannot miss the climb to the Fraele Towers and Cancano Lakes which, in the autumn of 2020, saw the arrival of a stage of the Giro; the tour from Bormio to Bormio 2000; the ascent from Bormio to the Forte di Oga, for a dip in history, or, more secluded, but equally beautiful and evocative the climb till the small town of Monte which offers a magnificent view of Bormio.
If, on the other hand, you prefer fat wheels, suggestive single trails, immersed in the Stelvio National Park, will lead you to discover the most breathtaking scenery of the Upper Valley. Then, by taking advantage of the ski lifts, you can easily take yourself to high altitude and, from here, venture out on the itineraries of the Alta Valtellina Bike Marathon, one of the most exciting MTB races in the Alps.
For nature lovers
If your great passion is trekking, fear not, in Bormio and its surroundings, you will have kilometers of trails of all difficulties.
From Val Zebrù to Val Viola, up to the foot of the Forni Glacier, we have countless itineraries to recommend, each with its own peculiarities and characteristics. We like that the eyes of our guests are filled with amazement and, therefore, we will suggest you from the most classic walks to the less traveled ones, but always exciting.
You just have to decide how much time you and, based on the training you have, how many meters in altitude you want to tackle, and the Sertorelli Reit team will show you the unmissable routes.
In the height of summer, one cannot fail to reach the foot of the Forni Glacier, while in September a trip to Val Zebrù is not to be missed, in the hope of seeing the deer and, at least, of hearing their roar.
For lovers of wild nature, however, we always suggest to discover the Val di Rezzalo, off the beaten track.
For those who do not consider themselves sporty enough
If you think you are part of this group, because your training level is low and, therefore, you are already resigned to strolling along the streets of the pedestrian center… we will show you that, in Bormio, you will find a valid, fun and exciting alternative for you too!
With the advent of e-bikes, pedal assisted MTBs, what was previously reserved only for super sportsmen, is now within everyone’s reach.
It is enough to be willing, dressing up and getting on the saddle: with the pedal assistance, scenarios you would never have imagined seeing will open up and you will reach unthinkable goals. Always suggested a ride on the Pedemontana della Reit, a tour of the Cancano Lakes, which offer instagrammable selfies, or an exciting tour in Val Viola, between Italy and Switzerland.

Finally, if you want your children to discover the nature of Bormio and the reality of life in the mountains, we suggest a walk, within reach of family, to Malga Trela or one of the many educational farms of the Valdidentro Proloco.
