If you want to get away from the crowded slopes, we suggest you to try Nordic skiingimmersed in nature, relaxation, tranquility, and freedom are the distinctive elements of this discipline.

Whether you practice the classic technique or skate, in Bormio and in the adjacent valleys you’ll find groomed Nordic tracks suited to every level.

If you’re a novice or want to learn the fundamentals of Nordic skiing, you can try out a 5 km track in the area of “Alute” in Bormio.

If instead, you want to immerse yourself in the woods, accompanied by squirrels, we recommend that you go to Santa Caterina Valfurva Nordic center. There, within the Stelvio National Park, are two competitive tracks 5 and 10 km and tourist tracks with loops of 2, 3, and 5 km.

Well known, thanks to having hosted international races, the Viola track in Valdidentro is also suitable both for tourists and competitive level athletes.

And don’t miss a trip to the Nordic tracks of Livigno…you’ll have a view of the entire valley while you ski along, which is certainly a great satisfaction.

If you prefer to take some hourly lessons, contact the Nordic Ski School Alta Valtellina.

You can rent your equipment at all the Nordic centers, near the ski tracks.
